GoPro found in river reunited with owners

DAHLONEGA, Ga. — A Channel 2 Action News viewer sent photos of a camera found in the Chestatee River in Dahlonega recently.

The viewer said the footage on the camera was found June 4, 2016 and it appeared that the owners rented kayaks from Appalachian Outfitters.

The video on the camera included a couple and the moment it came loose and became submerged in the river.

Channel 2 Action News posted the photos on Facebook and the camera's owners were located.

The viewer who sent the photos said she and her fiance will meet up with the camera's owners next week to return it.
