Gas leak closes Piedmont Avenue

ATLANTA — A gas leak shut down a busy midtown Atlanta street Wednesday morning.

Crews were working on the 2-inch gas leak at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and Monroe Drive shortly before 11 a.m. In the meantime, Piedmont Ave. is blocked in both directions.

Channel 2's Jason Durden advised drivers to use 10th Street as an alternate route.
