Customers may be scoring well in the bowling alley, but the kitchen at Stars and Strikes failed its Oct. 5 health inspection with a 64.

“The one time we ate there I’d say they were kind of a middle of the road. Not that I was thinking about food because we were there for bowling,” customer Bob Drum said.

Violations included an ice machine soiled with a mildew-like substance, food not held hot enough and dirty floors under and around equipment.

Harris said that worker is no longer with Stars and Strikes. He also said the company's senior food and beverage managers are working closely with the local team to correct all the violations.

Stars and Strikes said it takes health and safety very seriously.
