Arsenal of weapons seized from home

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Federal agents are looking over more than a dozen guns seized in a major drug raid.

Investigators found the weapons and thousands of dollars in meth from a house not far from a school on Bagley Drive in south Forsyth County on Feb. 7.

“Of great issue of what we found is what appears to be two illegal homemade silencers,” said Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman.

Freeman, who recently expanded his narcotics unit, said the bust came from persistent work by his drug investigators.

They were somewhat surprised, too, by the arsenal of weapons they discovered inside the home.

“No one has a cache of weapons like that when they’re selling drugs and they don’t have bad intentions,” Freeman said. “There are some AR-15s and that in itself is not an issue for someone possessing it. If it’s a drug dealer possessing it, it’s a felony.”

Investigators arrested two men, William Pruitt is charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute and weapons and theft charges.

Jason Bagwell is charged with drug possession.

Neighbors were shocked.

“I saw the post on Facebook,” said neighbor Bridgett Pincho.

“It's hard to believe it's right up the street. Makes you want to be even more cautious when your kids are out playing."
