ATLANTA - Light flurries fell across metro Atlanta Tuesday morning as below-average temperatures persist into spring.
Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said there is a freeze warning for Tuesday morning, and another will be in place for Tuesday night going into Wednesday morning.
Viewers all over metro Atlanta, including Johns Creek, Blairsville, Alpharetta, Suwanee, Tucker, Woodstock and Loganville, reported seeing flurries Tuesday morning.
A Channel 2 Action News photographer captured flurries in Stone Mountain.
The light snow marks the beginning of a day of below average temperatures.
“Temperatures stay in the 40s this afternoon which is 20 degrees cooler than average,” Minton said.
Minton said there will be a gradual warm up this week with highs in the 60s by the weekend. There is a 40 percent chance of rain for Easter Sunday.
