Firefighters responded to an ammonia leak from the Koch Foods plant at 950 Industrial Blvd in Gainesville Monday morning.

The plant has been evacuated after 14 workers complained of ammonia exposure. Officials say four workers were transported to a Northeast Georgia Medical Center to be treated.

Firefighters put fans inside the plant to be cleared out and employees were able to return to the building around 9 a.m according to Chief Keith Smith of the Gainesville Fire Department. The cause of the leak is unknown.
