Dunwoody residents want answers over missing mail

DUNWOODY, Ga. — From packages, credit cards, to paychecks, neighbors in one Dunwoody community say their mail is disappearing and it has been happening for months now.

Neighbors at the London Luxury Apartments in Dunwoody say they've been noticing that they haven't been receiving some packages and letters for several months now.

"We ordered two packages and we never received them," Resident Ken Sullivan tells Channel 2's Rachel Stockman.

"We've given it through the New Year and my wife called on it and it turns out someone tried it up at the Walmart," says Mitch Smith, about a credit card that was supposed to have been mailed to him.

Neighbor Jacque Roman called the police after he says his second paycheck was stolen.

"Someone stole the check and actually cashed it and bought tires and rims with my check. I did the whole investigation with my company to find out where the check was cashed," Roman says.

Roman says after the first check disappeared, he notified management of a potential mail thief.

He noticed several of the mail boxes, had marks near the lock, as if someone had been prying them open.

Roman says no one from management has taken action, to secure the mail room or install cameras.

"I was thinking of going to Radio Shack and installing cameras myself, because I want to feel safe, I want my identity to be safe," Roman said.

London Apartment Management has not returned a call left Monday. Dunwoody police are currently investigating.
