DNR recovers missing woman's body in Allatoona Lake

BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — Crews with the Department of Natural Resources recovered the body of 55-year-old Rhonda Tibbs of Smyrna near Park Marina on Allatoona Lake.

She had last been seen Friday night on the dock at the marina.

After receiving the missing person’s report, the officers began searching for the victim immediately.

The search continued throughout the day on Saturday and resumed at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

During the search, the Game Wardens utilized sonar equipment and the remote-operated vehicle.

Bartow County is investigating the incident.
