DeKalb police issue BOLO for gold car after kidnapping attempt



STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - DeKalb County police have issued a be-on-the-lookout for a gold vehicle in Stone Mountain.

Channel 2's Erica Byfield said a Freedom Middle School 6th-grade student was walking to her bus stop around 8 a.m. along Nielsen Drive when a white man wearing a white shirt tried to kidnap her.

Byfield said the man tried to pull the girl into his car, but he let go when another car pulled up.

Police said DeKalb County school resource officers issued the BOLO for a man driving a gold vehicle near Freedom Middle School on South Hairston Road.
