Woman charged in murder was out on bond at time of killing

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A woman out of jail on bond for murder is now accused of taking part in the shooting death of a young father.

The shooting claimed the life of 26-year-old Ronnie Stark.

Court records show Jaimee Harrell, 36, was sentenced to 10 years on a theft charge out of Cobb County. She served less than a year before she was paroled. %

She was out of jail only 4 months when DeKalb County police arrested and charged her with murder for the 2014 execution-style shooting of Shaniqua Camacho and Sonia Williams in the parking lot of a DeKalb County apartment complex.

"You see the propensity for violence and you've allowed them to come back out on the streets. They've had the opportunity to take someone away from me and who I love," said Stark’s aunt, who only identified herself as Angela.

Harrell is back in jail. She was arrested Tuesday for her alleged involvement in the shooting death of Stark.

Harrell was out on bond for the DeKalb murders when East Point police say she ordered another man to kill Stark three weeks ago in an apartment on Lake View Place in south Fulton County.

Artz contacted DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James Wednesday who said he opposed the judge's decision to grant bond.

A court spokesperson confirmed Judge Linda Hunter granted Harrell a $50,000 bond in May 2015.

Harrell made bond four months later and was living free until Tuesday.

“This was a life of someone who was precious to his family. I want them to understand the gravity of that," Angela said.

Artz put in several phone calls to Hunter Wednesday but has not heard back from her.
