Police ID 'armed and extremely dangerous' man accused of killing postal worker

Quantez D’Ante Tyre is considered "armed and extremely dangerous."

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities have identified the man they're searching for in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old postal worker earlier this week.

The DeKalb County Police Department tells Channel 2 Action News that they're looking for Quantez D'Ante Tyre.

According to police, Tyre killed Terrell as she waited outside her job at the U.S. Post Office on Wesley Chapel Road in Decatur on Monday night.

Investigators say Tyre ran from the scene toward Wesley Chapel Road.

Channel 2's Nefertiti Jaquez reports Tyre is the victim's estranged boyfriend and father of her 6-month-old daughter.

Tyre -- who police consider "armed and extremely dangerous" -- is 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 160 pounds.
