Missing man with Down syndrome found safe

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: A family member told Channel 2 Action News Monday afternoon that Quavy was found safe. Relatives said the 22-year-old was found at a school.

A local family was searching for their loved one who they said may be in danger.

Family members said Laquavious “Quavy” Jackson, 22, disappeared from their house and was last seen on Chapman Lane in Stone Mountain, around 6 p.m. Sunday.

His family said he has Down syndrome and always has to be supervised and cannot be left unattended.

"He's not allowed to go anywhere by himself without supervision because he has to have someone to look after him at all times," mother Angela Jackson said.

Quavy Jackson had surgery in October and is still healing, his mother said.
