Lights, camera, action! Thousands of TV props up for sale in metro Atlanta

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Calling all television show buffs! If you want to have your own piece of TV magic, then this is your lucky week.

Thousands of props used in television shows filmed in Georgia are going up for sale this week.

Channel 2's Lauren Pozen got an exclusive sneak peek inside the sound stage and warehouse where the sale will take place.

“We are selling everything from furniture to wardrobe to some science things,” said Robert Ahlers with Peachtree Battle Estates.

The majority of the props are from the sci-fi TV show "The Passage,” which was recently canceled. The short lived series was filmed in Atlanta.

“Everything is going to sell at whatever price, so there will be some great deals and it's all gotta go by Sunday,” Ahlers told Pozen.

Pozen watched as workers unboxed jewelry worn by some of your favorite stars. There were tons of shoes along with racks of clothing, some of them designer.

“It is almost like a Macy’s floor of clothing, I don't know how many racks but a lot of clothes,” he said.

The warehouse also has furniture and artwork too. Ahlers told Pozen he is expecting a big turnout. It’s a rare opportunity to take a piece of Hollywood home.

“We don’t often get a chance to get a glimpse inside of Hollywood, sit at home or watch the movies I think people are curious to get an inside peak of how all this works," he said.

There are a lot of movies and TV shows set to start filming in Georgia. Ahlers told Pozen productions crews will also purchase items at the sale. So it is possible that if you don't buy them, you could still see them on your screens again.

The warehouse sale runs Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sale is located at 1375 Beverage Drive in Stone Mountain.
