Carjackers shoot woman, tell child to get out of car before stealing it

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A woman was shot during a carjacking outside her home in Tucker Monday night.

The woman and her 8-year-old child were in the car on Dantel Way when the carjackers came up and shot the woman in the leg. They then told her 8-year-old son to get out of the car before stealing it from the driveway.

The woman was taken to the hospital in good condition.

The car has not been recovered and police do not have a description of the robbers.
