Channel 2's Audrey Washington saw the flooded area around 11 a.m.

She saw crews working to drain the area.

Many of the people in the community told Washington that each time it rains, the same road floods.

Washington spoke with a woman who got stuck in the same spot four years ago.

“It looks good, but it’s kind of deep. It’s deep water and when you see someone come through here, you’ll see how deep. It comes up to their doors,” Shaquisha Owens said.

A DeKalb County spokesperson told Channel 2 Action News that the flooding was caused by a blockage in the drainage system between the county storm drain and the privately maintained drainage system of a nearby apartment complex. They said they will work with the complex to fix the issues.
