DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A Decatur man was sent to the hospital when a DeKalb County fire rescue truck collided with his minivan.
Witnesses told Channel 2's Carl Willis the wreck left a startling scene.
"The fire truck and the van were both on their sides, which is quite an amazing sight to see a fire truck on its side like that," Jair Sweatman said. "That would pretty much startle you."
DeKalb County officials said the fire rescue truck was responding to a call and running with sirens on.

Fire officials wouldn't speculate on how fast the fire rescue truck driver may have been going.
"It will be thoroughly investigated and we will come up with a cause and find out what happened and why," Ham said.
