ACWORTH, Ga. - Some families are already braving cold temperatures to get Black Friday deals.
Tents are already beginning to pop up outside the Acworth Best Buy in Cobb County, even though the store does not open until Thanksgiving night.
One family told Channel 2’s Sophia Choi it’s a 6-year-long tradition to have their turkey in a parking lot instead of at home. They said the deals are great, but it's really about time spent together as a family.
Shoppers said the deep discounts are worth the hassle of spending their Thanksgiving outside a store.
Deals include $300 for an iPad 2, a $100 discount, and a 55-inch LED TV for $500.
Doors at Best Buy will open early this year –- 6 p.m. on Thursday. Tickets will be handed out at 4 p.m.
