CONGRESSMAN TOM PRICE TO HIGHLIGHT FREE TAX PREP ASSISTANCE PROGRAM TO HELP GEORGIAN'S SAVE AT TAX TIME

IRS, State Free File Programs Empower Working Georgians To Safely and Easily File Their Taxes Online for Free

 Atlanta - On Monday, March 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Congressman Tom Price will be joined by federal and state officials at a public briefing on the Free File program, which provides eligible taxpayers free use of name-brand tax software products through a partnership between the IRS and tax software companies.

Taxpayers with an adjusted gross income of $57,000 or less in 2012 - 70% of all taxpayers - can use Free File, which not only helps people save on the cost of tax preparation, but also empowers them to claim the credits and deductions for which they are eligible.

Following the briefing, the Computer Communications Industry Association (CCIA ) will hold a Free File Training workshop open to the public.
