Cobb man allegedly threatens to "pull a Brian Nichols" on judge

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb man is in jail accused of threatening a Clayton County judge.

Ausler Gregory, Sr., 33, is facing felony charges. Channel 2 Action News obtained documents, stating that he stared down Judge John Carbo Friday when he refused to reset Gregory’s court date.

Officials said Gregory told the judge he did not want to "pull a Brian Nichols."

Nichols opened fire inside a Fulton County courtroom in 2005, killing a judge, court reporter, deputy and later a federal agent.

Nichols is now serving a life sentence in prison.
