Cobb crash involving bus sends several people to hospital

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News is working to get more details about a multi-vehicle crash in Marietta that sent several people to a hospital.

The wreck involving a Cobb County Transit bus happened about 10:30 a.m. at Cobb Parkway and Wylie Road, just south of Life University.

Witnesses told Channel 2's Ross Cavitt an SUV traveling at a high rate of speed hit another car, which then slammed into the bus stopped in the right lane.

The bus appeared to have at least ten passengers on board. A third car was hit by debris. Authorities said there were no critical injuries or fatalities.

Cobb Parkway southbound was shut down for nearly two hours, but is now reopened to traffic.
