Armed men use young woman to lure victim to door

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating a violent home invasion at an apartment complex near Kennesaw State University.

The man who lives in the apartment told Channel 2's Ross Cavitt that a young woman lured him to the front door, and then several armed men barged into his unit.

“She said, ‘Hey, what’s up?’ and before she even said it, some dude with a gun hit my door full force and held the gun on me,” the victim said.

The victim said he was robbed of a couple hundred dollars.

The incident happened at the Greenhouse Apartments along George Busee Parkway in Kennesaw.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do. I don’t know how I’m going to pay my rent,” the man said.

Residents at Greenhouse said police are a regular fixture and gunfire is common at night.

“It makes me pretty concerned because there are a lot of kids in here, and single moms,” one resident said.
