COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are hoping surveillance video will help them nab thieves who broke into a local pawn shop and got away with a shotgun.
The owner of Dixie Gun and Pawn in Mableton told Channel 2's Tom Regan that his store has been hit over a dozen times. He even put bars in the windows to keep the thieves out but that still hasn't stopped them.
Surveillance video shows two men smash a window to get into the store early Sunday morning. They are seen ransacking the business, looking around boxes and shelves for any weapons they can steal.

The owner says they made off with a shotgun.
"They going to do whatever means necessary to come up with a gun, if it takes breaking in. That's what they're going to do," said James Groober.
Groober says thieves who took the shotgun may be surprised to find out it doesn't work.
