Shots fired in road rage incident on I-75

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police say shots were fired in a road rage incident on Interstate 75 Wednesday evening. The victim didn't realize someone shot out his car window until a witness pointed it out to him.

The 64-year-old victim was confused, because he had no idea he was a victim of road rage.

"The driver of the vehicle that was damaged didn't realize he had been shot until a witness had stopped with him and said, 'Hey I just saw this guy shoot your vehicle.'" Cobb County Lt. Nathan McCreary said.

Police say a man was getting onto I-75 southbound from Cumberland Boulevard when a second vehicle pulled up next to him. The driver of the second vehicle shot across his own hood into the victim's car.

The eye witness who saw it all go down told police he saw the suspect shoot off two rounds from a silver handgun before gunning the gas.

The gunman got away so quickly, the witness was unable to write down his license plate number.
