'He could have killed us': Gunman threatens KSU students during robbery

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities in Cobb County are looking for a man who they say fired several shots during a robbery of two Kennesaw State University students near campus.

Channel 2's Ross Cavitt has learned the incident happened at the Greenhouse complex near campus. Students and young families live at the complex.

One of the victims of the robbery told Cavitt he was getting ready when the suspect brought his roommate into the apartment at gunpoint.

“I heard the gun cock and he said, ‘This is a robbery. Get down,’” the victim said.

He said the gunman wasn't wearing a mask.

"At that point, you don't know what he's capable of because he's not scared to show his face," the victim said.

According to police, the robber stole a couple game consoles and some cash from the apartment. He then forced the students into the parking lot, police said.

The victim told Cavitt he worried the gunman would force them to drive off, so he jumped him.

"I tussled with him and he got a couple of shots in the air and I ran back up and called the police," he said.
