Pipe bombs, rifles and drugs found at teen’s home following tip, arrest warrant details

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Pipe bombs, AK-47s and LSD are just some of the dangerous items Cobb County police say they found in a house in Powder Springs.

Channel 2 Cobb County Bureau Chief Chris Jose has obtained a copy of the arrest warrant for Dylan Chapman, 17, after police arrested him at his home on Monday.

Investigators were called out the home along Crabapple Way after they say they got a call about bomb-making materials but did not elaborate who gave them the tip.

Jose was at the scene Monday when the bomb squad made sure the scene was safe, but police released few details about what was found at the time.

While in the neighborhood Wednesday, Jose went door-to-door to speak with neighbors about the incident. Many said they were too scared to talk on camera or go on the record about what was found.

Chapman is currently in the Cobb County Jail with no bond.
