COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned that Kennesaw State University is looking for a new police chief after Roger Stearns abruptly resigned on Monday.
KSU officials confirmed to Channel 2’s Ross Cavitt that Stearns handed in his resignation Monday following an internal investigation into what the school calls “leadership concerns.”
Sources told Cavitt that employees have accused Stearns of inappropriate behavior and racial discrimination.

The department’s deputy chief will assume command on Tuesday.
