Kennesaw neighborhood outraged at racist graffiti

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Neighbors are outraged after finding racist graffiti in their Kennesaw neighborhood.

"We woke up this morning and it was there in the middle of the yard," Amanda Sullivan said.

Sullivan said her family moved to the neighborhood off Bells Ferry because it seemed quiet and family friendly.

The bright orange spray paint of hate on the street outside her home turned that feeling upside down.

"It's upsetting, because it's a family neighborhood, little kids all over the yard," Sullivan said.

Neighbor Juliana Lima couldn't miss the scrawl, and says she's shocked by the graffiti.

"It's very diverse. I've seen black people, white, old and young, even Japanese," Lima said.

Sullivan called police hoping they could track down the vandals.

"Pretty scary to know there is some type of racism going on. I'll definitely be concerned for my safety as well," one neighbor said.
