COBB COUNTY, Ga. — High school football fans are thanking a local team for their act of kindness.

The Camden County area was recently hit by Hurricane Irma.
A Camden County High School fan posted on Facebook that the McEachern community came together to help them in their time of need.

“The devastation that hit our county is mainly known only within our area. We didn’t make the big news stations but countless people in our area have lost everything thanks to Irma. This was truly touching,” Lyford wrote on Facebook.
The woman said McEachern boosters also donated several gift cards and continued to take donations for the school throughout the game.
McEachern won the game 38-13. Both teams met at midfield to pray together once the game was over.
