Family offers reward to catch masked men who killed son

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The family of a father who was gunned down in Cobb County is now offering a $5,000 reward to help catch his killers.

Roland Milton III was found dead Wednesday in a parking lot of the Crescent Square Apartments on Austell Road.

Police said four men wearing ski masks shot the 29-year-old father. They believe robbery was the motive.

"I just can't understand how anyone can take someone's life and feel that's OK," said the victim's mother, Dorthea Milton-Nation.

Milton-Nation said her son was the father of three young daughters and had a generous heart and helped with school activities.

The victim’s family said there were over 100 people in the parking lot following the shooting, and they are certain someone knows who is responsible for the death of their loved one.

"We have heard that there are people who know these individuals, now the names," said the victim's brother, Bishop Phelps. "We want peace. We want a resolution to this matter."

Family members hope the reward will draw information leading to the arrest of the four people involved.
