According to Cobb Commissioner Bob Ott, an elderly driver hit a large power pole, putting wires over the intersection.
“This is going to be a rush hour mess,” Ott said Tuesday afternoon.
Roads throughout east Cobb backed up because of the situation.
Just before 6 p.m., lanes reopened and traffic began moving.
