Cobb County residents rally to change street names

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County residents are making steps toward changing several street names around the Six Flags theme park.

Last week, Channel 2 Action News told you about the confusion with six different streets near the park that all have Six Flags in their name.

There was a second public meeting Wednesday night to get input on what the new streets could be called.

"What we want to do is just reduce confusion in the area and hopefully bring about some change in the area with the different names," said Sabrina Young, Cobb County Community Development.

The group is set to make a presentation to the South Cobb Redevelopment Authority March 17.  If approved, they'll present the idea to Cobb County commissioners March 25.
