CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, SC — A Cobb County man was killed in a plane that crashed into a swamp in South Carolina Thursday.
Walker Hester of Marietta, was onboard the small plane when it went down in the area of the Pee Dee River outside Columbia.
Officials tell Channel 2's sister station WSOC-TV a helicopter flying over the scene found the wreckage. An eyewitness reported the plane going down in the river.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
