COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Las Vegas police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run that killed a couple from Cobb County.
The Westbrooks, Kennessaw residents, were on a trip in the city. They had already planned another Las Vegas trip for the fall, according to family members.
Police said the husband and wife were walking across a street when a driver struck them.
Charlotte Westbrook, 74, and Terry Westbrook, 71, were making their way across a street in Las Vegas when police say a driver hit and killed the couple Friday night.
Police said the driver never slowed down.
Investigators said the couple was not in a crosswalk when the driver of a dark-colored Nissan Sedan struck them.
They said there were several witnesses to the crime, but that no one was able to provide a license plate description.
Police said they are hopeful someone will recognize the car involved.
