MORROW, Ga. - Authorities say a Clayton State University student was shot in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex early Sunday morning.
Clayton State University officials said the shooting happened at the Clayton Station Apartments at about 1:45 a.m.
The student and a co-worker were getting out of a car parked near a group of about 10 unfamiliar people.
Officials said the pair was walking to their apartment when shots were fired, apparently by one of the people in the large group.
The student, who was shot in the ankle, and his co-worker then ran inside the apartments.
After an additional investigation, the student was found to have second bullet injury under the right arm. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and treated. He is in good condition, officials said.
No arrests have been made.
