Unidentified body found floating in Clayton County river, police say

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County police are working to identify a body found floating in a river Saturday morning in Riverdale.

A citizen reported seeing something suspicious in the Flint River off of Garden Walk Boulevard at Upper Riverdale Road around 10:45 a.m.

Officers responded and discovered that it was a body floating in the water.

Dive teams were able to recover the body. The victim has not been identified and its unclear how the person died.

Police did not say how long the body may have been in the water.
