A Days Inn in Morrow has been declared a nuisance by a judge and the property's owner has 90 days to bring the motel up to code, after allegations of code violations and various crimes happening at the location.
Only 33 of the motel's previously inspected rooms will be allowed to stay open and the others will have to be taken off the market, pending city inspections, according to a court order issued Friday.
Morrow police said in the past six months they have received 120 calls for service at the motel on Adamson Parkway. Police allege it's a haven for prostitution, sex trafficking and violent crimes, according to the court order. City code enforcement officers reported feeling unsafe while performing inspections.

"You don't want prostitutes, and johns, and pimps around your children," said Tammy Hardrick, who stayed at the motel in June. "That's not safe. That's not good for the community."
Morrow Police Chief James Callaway served the owner of the motel with the notice Friday.
The owner stated he spent $240,000 on various improvements recently and made attempts to notify police about ongoing illegal activity.
The first city inspection will be within 20 days.
