Clayton County police chief placed on administrative leave

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has confirmed Clayton County Police Chief Greg Porter was informed he is on administrative leave without pay. He was relieved of his badge and gun.

A person with knowledge of the situation told Channel 2's Mark Winne that Porter was told the suspension is due to an ongoing GBI investigation. Porter has cooperated with the investigation and maintains his innocence.
