Clayton County standoff ends with three in custody

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County police say a standoff at an apartment complex ended without injuries Saturday morning.

Police said they responded twice to a domestic disturbance call at a residence in the Williow Bay Apartments at 5900 Riverdale Road. After receiving another call, the suspect, Chacoland Lamon Dye, of College Park, refused to come out. Dye threatened to shoot anyone who came inside the residence, reported Clayton County police Lt. Chris Windley.

He said warrants were then obtained for the 35-year-old suspect in the standoff, which lasted about four hours.

The standoff eventually ended with Dye and two other people in custody.

Police said Dye faces charges of false imprisonment, cruelty to children and family violence battery. Dante Wallace,34, of Stone Mountain, and Richard Antwain Johnson, 35, of Flint, Mich. were charged with obstruction, police said.

They have not indicated Johnson or Wallace's connection to the case.
