City of Blairsville declares water ban due to drought

UNION COUNTY, Ga. — The city of Blairsville has declared a complete outdoor watering ban, due to the drought, for all customers of the city of Blairsville water system.

The mayor said the ban is effective immediately and until further notice. They added the ban is voluntary.

Much of Georgia is in extreme drought.

North Georgia had 22 wildland fires on Saturday and another 19 Sunday, according to forest ranger Mark Munns in Bartow County.
