With furniture donated by American Signature Furniture, volunteers with the group "Sunshine on a Ranney Day" have spent weeks making over this bedroom in Monica Lunn’s Canton home.

A car accident in March left Monica paralyzed from the neck down and this makeover will help make things a little easier for her and her family.

"With this room, function is important but we also try to keep fun in function and make it a great space for Monica and her sister to do some fun things together but the medical care is very important," the lead designer said.

To say Monica and her family are excited is an understatement.

"I feel great,” Monica’s stepfather said. “I feel very happy when they do that to my daughter."

Monica's stepfather told Channel 2 Action News she is making progress in her recovery and said she was able to move her arms a little today at the hospital.
