A Gwinnett County restaurant barely passed its reinspection after failing an inspection shortly after opening.
The Cheesecake Factory in Buford just opened in December. They got a failing inspection of 50 last month. Upon the reinspection they passed, but with only a C.
It has been reinspected and passed but the score is a 76, still considered low by many diners.
“I wouldn't go there. I wouldn't eat there with those kinds of numbers,” said shopper Steve Trees. “People don't do their jobs anymore.”
Some of the violations were repeat violations, including food containers stored as clean with food debris and foods not cooled to a proper temperature within six hours.
Another violation in the new inspection said that the stickers weren't removed from the avocados and apples before they were washed. It is required they be removed before fruits and vegetables are washed and cut up.
Channel 2’s Carol Sbarge contacted Cheesecake Factory's headquarters to find out what it is being done to address the violations but has not received a response.
A health inspector plans to reinspect a third time within the next two months.
