Several injured when car crashes into wing shop

MILTON, Ga. — Several people were injured when a driver crashed in to a wing shop in Milton on Friday.

The crash happened at Express Wings & More on Highway 9 around 10:45 a.m. Milton police said a 47-year-old woman pulling into a parking spot "blacked out" and hit the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal.

The car went into the building, pinning a delivery person between the car and the counter, Milton police Lt. Travis Parker said. He said that resulted in a "pretty severe leg injury." The delivery person, along with another employee and the driver were taken to North Fulton Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, Parker said.

There were no customers in the store at the time.

Police said the driver was on an unspecified medication. An investigation is ongoing, but no charges are anticipated.
