ATLANTA - Grab your jacket Tuesday! Some parts of Georgia are seeing temperatures drop to the 40s, Meteorologist Brian Monahan said.
Severe Weather Team 2 is tracking how long this will last, on Channel 2 Action News.
Temperatures across the state are in the 30s and 40s for most areas Tuesday morning.
"It's the coldest we’ve been area-wide since early May," Monahan said.
Monahan said Atlanta will make it to around 70 later Tuesday.
There will be cool mornings through the week in the 40s to around 50s, with highs in the upper 70s by the end of the week.
Monahan said this week will be dry with lots of sun.
Good morning! Temps are in the mid 50s now at #ATL... but only 39 in Blairsville! I used my seat heaters this morning -- it's chilly! :)— Brian Monahan, WSB (@BMonahanWSB) October 17, 2017
Just a little bit of cloud cover on the south side is keeping things a little warmer right now... low 50s in Griffin... we'll end up in 40s— Brian Monahan, WSB (@BMonahanWSB) October 17, 2017
Not seeing any rain across north GA until we get into late in the weekend or even early next week... overall... a good looking week! @wsbtv— Brian Monahan, WSB (@BMonahanWSB) October 17, 2017
