2 moving trucks filled with evidence after drug, theft raid

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — It took two moving trucks to remove all the evidence from a drug and theft raid Friday at a Paulding County home.

Video from NewsChopper 2 showed members of the Drug Task Force seizing evidence from a home on Silverthorne Circle in Douglasville.

The video shows dozens of boxes and other items lined up in the driveway of the home and coming out of the garage.

The sheriff’s department was first called to the home on Thursday, and deputies said they smelled marijuana. They returned on Friday with a search warrant.

On Friday, authorities said they found heroin, Ecstasy and other illegal pills inside the home. In addition, they said there were stolen electronics.

Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach has learned that two women were arrested in connection with the raid. Police said they're still trying to determine all the charges.

Neighbors on the quiet cul-de-sac said they saw cars coming and going from the home at all hours.

'We all thought something was going on," one woman said.
