Boiler explodes on Clark Atlanta campus

ATLANTA — A boiler exploded in a maintenance building on the campus of Clark Atlanta in southwest Atlanta Friday.

News Chopper 2 showed windows blown out and bay doors buckled on a building on Westview Drive.

One person suffered minor injuries in the explosion, officials said.

School officials told Channel 2 Action News that the windows took the brunt of the blast and the brick structure remained intact.

Fire officials clarified just before 4 p.m. the incident happened on Clark's campus, not at Morehouse College as previously reported.

Investigators were working to determine what caused the boiler to explode.
