Body found floating in river behind Six Flags

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Firefighters pulled a body from the Chattahoochee River near Six Flags Over Georgia on Monday afternoon.

Cobb County Fire Department spokesman Denell Boyd said a boater spotted the body floating near the bank of the river, just behind the amusement park property.

NewsChopper 2 showed emergency workers in boats investigating the death. Police said it appears the death has nothing to do with the park and the victim likely entered the river upstream.

Police have not identified the victim or a cause of death.
