Body found at Duluth apartment complex

GWINNETT, Ga. — Gwinnett authorities are investigating a homicide at an apartment complex in Duluth.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon at the Astor Place Apartments on Boggs Road. Police said a resident called 911 around noon after seeing a man's body on the ground. It appears the victim was shot, police said.

Police have not identified a suspect in the investigation. The victim's identity hasn't been released.

Astor Place management sent the following statement around 4:30 p.m.

"Our thoughts are with the victim and the victim's family. We are cooperating fully with the authorities as they investigate this crime. The security and safety of our residents is our No. 1 priority, and we will continue to work diligently to ensure their safety."
