Lawrenceville couple charged in death of 10-year-old daughter

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — A Gwinnett County couple have been arrested and charged in the murder of their daughter, whose body was found in a trash can.

Eman Moss called 911 early Saturday and said that he wanted to commit suicide. While talking to dispatchers Moss said there was a dead body with him at the home. He said his 10-year-old daughter had drank some type of chemical and died.

When officers arrived at the Landmark at Coventry Pointe Apartments in Lawrenceville they found Moss standing in a breezeway, pointing to a trash can in the recreation area. Officers went over to the trash can and located the badly burned body of the child.

The little girl has been identified as Emani Moss.

Moss and Emani Moss’ stepmother, Tiffany Moss, have both been arrested and charged with felony murder, cruelty to children in the first degree and concealing a body.

Both are being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
