ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Just hours after the late pop superstar Whitney Houston’s daughter was involved in an Alpharetta crash, the teen’s boyfriend was involved in another traffic incident.
On Wednesday morning, Bobbi Kristina Brown crashed down an embankment off Beaver Creek Road, Alpharetta police said. That evening, city officers arrested her on-again-off-again boyfriend Nicholas Gordon, who told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik about the incident the next day.
"No worries. Everything's good. Just having a couple of rough patches," Gordon told Petchenik outside his Alpharetta apartment.
Gordon, 23, was arrested on reckless driving charges. Police said he was speeding down North Point Parkway in a Chevy Camaro. An officer stationed near Regal Cinema reported the car hit speeds of 85 mph in a 35 mph zone, which Gordon disputes. He said he wasn’t sure how fast he was going, but “not that fast.”
Police said a friend picked up his car while Gordon was taken to the Alpharetta City Jail. Gordon’s next court date is Feb. 12.
