Bobbi Kristina Brown crashes in Alpharetta

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of the late pop superstar Whitney Houston, was involved in a car crash in Alpharetta.

Alpharetta police said they were called to the crash site around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday. A 911 caller spotted a car going off an embankment, Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon said in a news release.

Gordon identified Brown as the driver of the black Chevrolet Camaro, which suffered moderate damage. He said Brown lost control of the car and went off Beaver Creek Road, down an embankment and crashed into a few trees. The car stopped in the Greenway Park trail area.

Officers found Brown standing next to her car, but she was not injured, Gordon said. She was cited for failure to maintain lane.

It is unclear what caused the crash, but Gordon said he doesn't believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
